JAMA Netw Open 2021 Mar 2; 4:e210414. (https://doi.org/10.1001/jamanetworkopen.2021.0414) recentemte pubblicato su Jama Network:

COMMENT

Although this was a small study, the good news is that no adverse respiratory effects were apparent in healthy children 4 months to <2 years old when wearing surgical face masks for short periods of time. These data suggest that the American Academy of Pediatrics recommendation to avoid face masks in children <3 years should be reevaluated.
